Terms of Service
Last updated: May 5, 2026.
These terms describe how DateTime may be used. They are short on purpose; the substance is the disclaimer about how time-zone math works at the edges, where political decisions can change a result you depended on.
Acceptance
By using DateTime — running a timezone conversion, building a Discord-timestamp tag, calculating business days until a deadline — you accept these terms. They may be updated as the tzdb release the site bundles changes; continued use after a revision constitutes acceptance.
Use of the site
DateTime is free to use for personal and commercial reference. Do not attempt to disrupt the site, gain unauthorized access to its systems, or scrape pages at a rate that affects availability. Calendar conversions and Discord-timestamp output may be copied into any document, message, or codebase without attribution.
Time-zone caveats
Time-zone rules are political decisions and change with little warning. Brazil suspended DST in 2019, Lebanon delayed a DST transition in 2023, Egypt restored DST in 2023, and the United States periodically debates abolishing the change. DateTime ships with a specific IANA tzdb release at build time; calculations near a recent rule change should be cross-checked against the latest tzdb publication available on your own system. Calculations across far-future dates are best-effort: a government decision two years from now can move the answer.
Disclaimer of warranties
The site is provided on an as-is and as-available basis without warranty of any kind. The publisher does not warrant that any conversion is current to the latest tzdb release at the moment of computation, that business-day calendars match every regional holiday calendar, or that the tools are fit for legal, contractual, or compliance use without verification. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of DateTime. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States.
Advertising
DateTime is supported by display advertising through Google AdSense. Ad content is determined programmatically by Google and its partners; the publisher does not curate individual advertisers.
